What Is Human Design?
Human Design is an energetic blueprint for how you're designed to operate in the world. It was founded in 1987 by Ra Uru Hu, and it brings together ancient wisdom systems, including the I Ching, the chakra system, astrology, and the Kabbalah, with modern science, including quantum physics, neutrinos, and genetics. The result is a deeply personal map of your energy, showing you how you're meant to create, decide, connect, and lead.
Your Human Design chart is calculated using your birth date, time, and location. It captures the specific details of what makes you uniquely you: your strengths, your traits, your energetic needs, and many other elements that form your essence.
When you understand your unique design, you begin to see things more clearly: what energizes you and what depletes you, how to make aligned decisions, your natural gifts and how they influence your work and relationships, the work rhythms and environments that best support you, and the unique way you're here to contribute.
Human Design gives you permission to stop following strategies, advice, and conditioning that were never meant for you, and instead, start building from an inner knowing that is aligned with your highest potential.

It's an experiment. A daily invitation to tune into your energy, honor your inner wisdom, and begin to decondition from all the ways you've been taught to operate that don't actually support who you came here to be and what you're here to create.
That's the real power of this work. It shows you where you've been chasing a version of success that isn't aligned with your design, and it gives you the awareness to create aligned opportunities and connections instead. This awareness shows up in two important ways:
Your Signature feeling, which is a clear inner signal of alignment. Depending on your Energy Type, this might show up as satisfaction, success, peace, or surprise. It's your body's way of telling you that you're on the right track.
Your Not-Self Theme, which is the emotional cue that something is off. This might feel like frustration, bitterness, anger, or disappointment. It's not a failure. It's feedback. It's your body helping you course-correct and return to what's true for you.
When you learn to recognize these signals, your body becomes a built-in compass. You can course-correct more quickly, stop internalizing struggle as personal failure, and navigate your life and business in a way that is sustainable, authentic, and moves you forward with less resistance.
The Basics of Human Design
When we explore your energetic blueprint, we start with these foundational pieces:
Energy Type describes your natural role in the world. It reveals how your energy flows, how you exchange energy with others, where your energy comes from, and how others experience your presence. There are five Energy Types: Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, and Reflector. Each has a distinct rhythm, purpose, and approach to business. The world was not designed for everyone to operate in the same way, and your Energy Type is the first layer of understanding that.
Strategy is your built-in process for taking aligned action. It's how you're designed to engage with work, people, and opportunities. Manifestors are here to follow their urge and inform. Generators and Manifesting Generators are here to respond with their gut. Projectors are here to wait for the invitation. And Reflectors are here to wait a lunar cycle. Strategy helps reduce resistance and increase flow.
Authority is how you're designed to make decisions. It's your strongest sense of intuition, the part of your chart you should be listening to for guidance. Authority can show up as emotional, sacral, splenic, heart, self-projected, mental, or lunar, depending on your design. When you trust your Authority, decisions start to feel clearer and more grounded.
Profile is your role here on earth. It describes your personality traits, habits, preferred way of moving through life, and how you learn. Your Profile shows two sides of who you are: what you feel more internally and what others see more externally. It's a combination of two of the six lines in the Human Design system, and each profile carries its own gifts, abilities, and natural way of connecting with others.
Signature is the internal feeling that lets you know you're in alignment. Satisfaction, success, peace, or surprise. It's your body's yes.
Not-Self Theme is the feeling that arises when you're out of alignment. Frustration, anger, bitterness, or disappointment. It's not something to push through. It's a signal to come back to your Strategy and Authority.
Together, these elements form your inner compass. They help you understand how your energy is designed to move, and they give you a foundation for making decisions in your business and life that feel grounded and clear.

The Blueprint integrates two essential pieces: your Human Design and your Business Design.
The first half is your Human Design analysis. Even when someone doesn't know much about Human Design going in, they almost always leave feeling like something clicked.
