Visualizing Your High-Vibe Business
At this point in your journey with the High-Vibe Entrepreneur Method, you have gained enormous clarity about your current business or the business you want to launch. You know your unique gifts and how you can use them to serve your purpose in this world. You’ve identified the audience you authentically connect with. And you know how to attract this audience and become invaluable to them by offering services tailored to their needs.
Bringing all of this to fruition happens one day at a time in your business. To stay on track, motivated and inspired, you need a clear vision not just of where you’re going with your business, but also of how you operate your business and how you show up in it.
Picturing Your Future
To shape the work that we’re doing today, let’s first talk about your goals for your business — and for your life. Take a few moments now to get quiet and call to mind how you want the future to look for both your business and yourself. What do you most want your business to accomplish? What do you want to accomplish for yourself? How do you want your customers’ lives to be better because of your business? Your answers to these questions can be as simple as how much money you want to make, the size of your team you hope to have someday or how much vacation you can squeeze in. Imagine each answer in vivid detail. How does reaching each goal look — and how does it feel?
For each goal, set a target date for when to achieve it and list the steps that will move you toward this goal. We’re also going to ask you to do something a little different — and a lot more high-vibe — to achieve your goals. Hold fast to those detailed visions of how achieving your goals will look and feel. They will keep you inspired when your motivation flags. But also envision how your goals will shape the day-to-day workings of your business. How will you live the goals of your business? As you think about this, here are a few areas to consider.
Prioritizing and Managing Your Time
When you picture yourself living out your goals, how do your days take shape? Let a typical day unfold in your mind. What are you spending your time on?
What are you not spending your time on?It’s absolutely essential to know the answers to these questions because each day brings plenty of distractions to steal your time. If you’re not careful, you can spend all of your time frantically darting from task to task and never devote your attention to the ways you really create value in your business or that advance your goals. Your most important work can’t be squeezed in between emails and phone calls. You need uninterrupted blocks of time for deep focus and creativity.
If the way you envision using your time doesn’t match up with how you spend your days now, look for ways to adjust. What could you stop doing or start delegating so that you have more time for what really matters? What aspects of your business could you make more efficient to free up more time?
Focusing Your Energy
Now picture how you want to be spending your energy in your business. This is another area where you will probably need to make some tweaks to bring your day-to-day reality more in line with your vision for your business.
What’s going right in your business? What’s creating results and feels effortless and enjoyable? These good things are happening because you’re putting your energy and intention in the right place.
On the other hand, what in your business feels blocked or out of control? This is a sign that you’re probably giving this aspect of your business too much or too little energy or effort.
Based on your answers to these questions, what are some shifts you can make in where you are putting your focus?
Managing Your Thoughts
Work and life are heavily intertwined for high-vibe entrepreneurs. To a huge degree, you are your business, and your business is you. Because that’s the case, what’s going on with you internally will show up in your business. Visualize the mindset and the energy you want to embody each day in your business. This can be a compass that guides your actions. To stay on track, your thoughts need to be in line with your goals. One tip I personally use is to create simple statements that reaffirm things that I want for my life that haven't happened yet. Call them prayers, chants, affirmations or whatever you like, but these things work.
Learning and Adapting
Your core business will inevitably evolve and take on new directions over time. This means you must remain nimble and open to changing your business as the world around you changes. It also means you must always be learning and opening yourself up to new ways of doing things.
In your vision for your business, commit to staying fresh and innovative. How will you continue to educate yourself? What can you read — from both inside and outside your industry — to stay inspired and challenged? What conferences or courses would be valuable? How might you benefit from coaching?
Being Mindful of Money
Your business is a direct reflection of your life. The stuff that you’re dealing with on a personal level will show up in your work, too.
One area for which that’s especially true is money. If you don't have control of your money in your personal life, or you don't give it the value and respect it deserves, you likely won't have control over it in your business either.
What does abundance look like for you and for your business? What does it mean for you to thrive — and to help others (including your team) thrive? Does the way you spend your money support the business you want to run and the life you want to have? You may discover that you’re spending too much on some things that don’t really create value for you while at the same time skimping in areas that would help you make your dreams and goals a reality.
You’ve done some powerful work today, and you’ll use what you’ve learned over and over to stay inspired and make wise decisions. Remember to keep a clear vision of both where you want to go with your business and how you want to show up every day. You’ll see the impact in your actions and in your business results.
