Clayre Sessoms built her practice one client at a time, over a career that started in 1999 as a massage therapist in North Carolina and moved through yoga instruction, Focusing-Oriented Therapy, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy before she became a Registered Psychotherapist and board certified art therapist. By the time she came to DesignGood, she had trained other clinicians in Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment as a Senior Facilitator alongside Dr. Janina Fisher, co-hosted a podcast with fellow therapist Laura Hoge, and built a caseload of clients working through relational harm, trauma, and disconnection. All of it lived under one name and one solo practice.
That structure had reached its edge. A one-on-one model can only hold so much, and Clayre was already at capacity, with two more practitioners joining her and a mentorship program for other clinicians taking shape at the same time. Her old site could describe one therapist. It had no clear way to hold a team, a podcast, and a training program without the whole thing starting to feel like three separate projects.
We started with brand language and positioning, not visuals, working through how Clayre actually talks about the work: attunement, presence, the body's own pace of healing, so the practice could grow into a group without losing the specificity that built her reputation in the first place. The website we built now holds Clayre Sessoms Psychotherapy's clinical offerings, The Living Practice Podcast, and the mentorship program for clinicians inside one steady, human presence.
Clayre now leads a team of three practitioners offering trauma-informed, gender-affirming, body-centered therapy across British Columbia, Ontario, and Nova Scotia, alongside a monthly podcast and a mentorship program that trains other clinicians in the same care she spent decades refining. A client looking for therapy and a therapist looking for supervision land on the same site and recognize immediately that they're in the right place.
