Brand & Website Design for a Trauma-Informed Therapy Practice

On Becoming

On Becoming is the trauma-informed psychotherapy practice of Emily Rotert, LPC, serving adults across Colorado.

DesignGood built the brand and website for Emily's integrative practice, which draws on mindfulness, somatic work, EMDR, and parts work to help anxious, overwhelmed adults reconnect with themselves and move from coping into a more present, embodied life.

Emily had built a strong practice and years of experience helping values-driven adults through burnout and anxiety, and she had no brand that reflected any of it. We shaped the name, the brand language, and the positioning around her approach, therapy for embodied growth, then built the visual identity, copywriting, and website so a person looking for trauma-informed therapy in Colorado feels the calm of her practice from the first page. It is brand and website design for therapists that leaves room for the intensives, support groups, and workshops she offers and the retreats she envisions.

Who This Brand Was Built For

We build brands for therapists and practice owners who have grown a strong practice without a brand behind it and need one that carries the depth of the work. On Becoming needed to speak to thoughtful, self-aware adults across Colorado who feel anxious, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, many of whom have tried therapy before and want something integrative and experiential that honors both mind and body.

What Changed for On Becoming

Emily Rotert had built her practice under her own name, working with values-driven adults who were moving through burnout and anxiety, and she had no brand behind it. The work was integrative and steady, drawing on mindfulness, somatic work, EMDR, and parts work. Nothing online said so, and the people she was best suited to help had no way to feel the steadiness she brings to a session before they reached out.

She had started building a website on her own and found it overwhelming enough to set aside. What she wanted was clarity, confidence, and a foundation she could grow from, and she was open to a name that reflected the work as well as it deserved to be reflected. She is thoughtful and articulate, and she did not want a brand that sounded clinical or like a coach, so the language had to keep both her professional credibility and her warmth.

We began with the name. On Becoming came out of that process, followed by the brand language and positioning around her approach, therapy for embodied growth, written in the grounded, compassionate voice Emily uses with clients. The visual identity and the website carry the same calm, so a prospective client feels the safety of the practice from the first moment they arrive.

Today Emily has a brand that sounds like her and a website she did not have to build alone. The foundation is in place for the individual therapy, intensives, and support groups she offers, and for the workshops and retreats she is growing toward, all under a name that says what the work is for. Her prospective clients now arrive at a practice that already feels like the one she runs.
