Brand & Website Design for a Learning Design Strategist

Ricky Ratcliff

Ricky Ratcliff is a learning design strategist and speaker who helps learning and development professionals lead, design, and influence, through his Learning DNA™ framework, the Learning Playground podcast, and learning design strategy, implementation, and systems thinking.

Ricky came to DesignGood with a strong point of view and more than a decade in learning and development, and with ideas that lived across conversations, workshops, and internal frameworks. He wanted clearer language for his work, a brand and website that supported lead generation, and a podcast that reflected his belief that learning should be creative, experimental, and human.

We wrote his brand language and positioning and designed the identity and website, then branded the Learning DNA™ framework as both a guiding philosophy and a lead magnet, and gave the Learning Playground podcast its own identity. It is brand and website design for consultants and thought leaders, built so his ideas can be explained, shared, and scaled.

Who This Brand Was Built For

We build brands for consultants, strategists, and educators whose ideas live in frameworks and conversations and need a shape other people can pick up. Ricky's brand had to speak to learning and development professionals who are ready to lead and feel stuck in execution mode, and to the organizations and event hosts who hire a learning strategist and speaker, so each of them could see the clear point of view behind the work.

What Changed for Ricky Ratcliff

Ricky Ratcliff has spent more than ten years in learning and development. He arrived at DesignGood as a learning design strategist and speaker with a clear belief that learning should be creative, experimental, and human, and with a body of thinking that lived in conversations, workshops, and internal frameworks.

The frustration he describes for his audience is one he knows firsthand, being stuck in reactive mode, answering request after request, and struggling to show what the learning delivered. His own ideas risked the same fate, useful to the people who heard him in the room and hard to explain, share, or scale beyond it.

We built from Ricky's own words. His brand language and positioning gave him a clarifier, Learning Design Strategist & Speaker, and a statement, Transforming how learning designers lead, design, & influence. Then we gave his thinking a form. The Learning DNA™ framework, a pattern language for impactful learning, became a branded philosophy and a lead magnet at once, and his podcast became Learning Playground with Ricky Ratcliff, with its own logo and place in the brand. The visual identity, website, social media branding, outreach tools, and branded email marketing were designed from that same voice, bold, direct, and human.

Today Ricky has a website that explains what he does and who he does it for, a framework people can download and use, and a podcast that carries his point of view into conversations with unconventional educators.
