Brand & Website Design for a Depth Psychotherapy Practice

Compass Soul Counseling & Wellness

Dr. Maria Bloomfield, PhD, LMHC, CPA, came to DesignGood with a background in depth psychology and a practice built on work that is often intuitive and hard to put into words, integrative depth psychotherapy for women across Washington State navigating complex emotions, chronic pain, and life transitions. She needed a brand that could hold the weight of Jungian, feminist, and relational approaches without losing the clarity a new client needs to feel safe reaching out.

We built Compass Soul's brand language and positioning, identity, and website around that depth instead of softening it, so a woman searching for something beyond surface-level therapy recognizes Dr. Bloomfield's approach the moment she lands on the site and knows this is where her real story gets held.

Who This Brand Was Built For

We build brands for therapists and depth-oriented practitioners whose approach doesn't fit a generic anxiety, depression, and trauma template, serving clients who are looking for something beyond surface-level therapy and want their real story held, not just managed. Compass Soul's brand had to speak to that same depth, for a woman navigating complex emotions, chronic pain, or a life transition who has never found a website that felt like it understood her before.

What Changed for Compass Soul

Dr. Maria Bloomfield came to DesignGood carrying more training than most therapists ever accumulate, a PhD with a dissertation focus on motherhood and matrescence, an LMHC, and a background as a CPA before any of that. Her practice is built on depth psychology, Jungian work, and relational and somatic care for women across Washington State, and she wasn't sure any of it could translate into language at all. Depth psychology resists easy summary, and she had watched other therapist websites flatten complex, intuitive work into the same three words, anxiety, depression, trauma.

We didn't smooth that depth over. We built Compass Soul's brand language and positioning directly from how Dr. Bloomfield actually talks about the work, shadow work, unconscious patterns, the parts of a woman's inner life that get pushed aside during motherhood, career, and everyday performance, and let the website hold all of it without over-explaining or diluting it into something safer. The process itself became part of the brand, collaborative and reflective rather than a document handed off and returned.

What came back is a site Dr. Bloomfield describes as feeling like a pearl the two of us grew together, not a template with her name on it. Since launching, she says interest in her practice has picked up, and she feels rooted and confident presenting her work in a way she couldn't before. For a practice built on something as hard to name as depth psychology, that's the real proof: the brand finally sounds like the therapist, not like therapy in general.
