Brand & Website Design for a Trauma Therapy Practice

The Trauma Resource

The Trauma Resource is the Baltimore, Maryland trauma therapy practice of Wendy Berman, LCSW-C, serving adults and teens in person in Baltimore and virtually across Maryland, with more than 20 years of clinical experience.

Wendy came to DesignGood with a practice built on integrative, relational work and an online presence that had not yet caught up to the warmth, clarity, and clinical depth her clients find in the room. We built her brand language and positioning around how she works, drawing on Internal Family Systems, EMDR, somatic and nervous system work, expressive techniques, and mindfulness, and carried it through copywriting, a custom visual identity, a website, and branded email marketing.

The result is a calm, steady home for her work, with individual trauma therapy, trauma therapy intensives, and clinical supervision for trauma therapists each given a clear place, and room for the resources and writing she is growing into. It is the kind of brand and website design for therapists that lets clinical depth and personal warmth arrive together on the first visit.

Who This Brand Was Built For

We build brands for therapists and trauma specialists whose depth is felt in the room long before it shows up online. The Trauma Resource needed a brand that could speak to adults and teens in Maryland who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, confused by their reactions, or unsure why past experiences still shape their days, and to fellow clinicians looking for trauma-informed supervision, so that each of them could sense steadiness and safety from the first page.

What Changed for The Trauma Resource

Wendy Berman had spent more than 20 years becoming the kind of trauma therapist whose clients stay for the depth of the work. Her practice ran on relationship, on pacing the work to each person's nervous system, and on drawing from Internal Family Systems, EMDR, somatic work, and expressive techniques as each person needed them. Her website said far less than that, and it was ready to be replaced.

The people searching for a trauma therapist are often overwhelmed and unsure what to trust, and a site that reads as generic or overly clinical gives them little reason to believe they will be met with warmth and expertise. Wendy wanted visibility, and she wanted the right people to feel safe before they ever picked up the phone.

We started with Wendy's own language. Her brand language and positioning came from how she talks about trauma, shame, and the nervous system, in short, grounded sentences that help people understand what they are living through without labeling them. From there we built the visual identity, the copywriting, the website, and the branded email marketing so every piece sounded and felt like the same steady presence.

The turning point came when she saw her work on the page. Wendy has shared that she felt seen and heard throughout the process and that what she had envisioned came alive on her website. Today The Trauma Resource gives individual trauma therapy, trauma therapy intensives, and clinical supervision a clear home, and it gives adults and teens across Maryland a calm place to begin. Her brand now feels as genuine and grounded as the work itself.
