Fashioncast Podcast
As a thought-provoking and informative media hub for industry creatives and fashion leaders, Fashioncast was already in play when we met brand co-founder Michael Gloster. The podcast had multiple episodes and a functional website, but Michael recognized the brand was ready for a makeover. He knew DesignGood would be the right fit to build the brand's visual and verbal identity.
While the word "fashion" usually elicits images of glitz and glamor, Michael's "big why" in creating Fashioncast was to draw back the curtain on the issues he felt warranted greater coverage, like sustainability, labor ethics, psychology and other compelling subjects that have a profound impact on the industry and the economy. In honing the Fashioncast brand messaging and designing the website, we identified five core areas of focus that serve as unique differentiators and help site visitors quickly see how Fashioncast offers unique insight into the world of fashion by covering design, business, ethics, sustainability and technology. In developing the visual identity, we created a tailor-made wordmark to appeal to the aesthetic interests of fashion aficionados. The movement and interplay of the logotype letterforms reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of the site content and the industry itself, while the black and white color palette, complemented by a warm beige, conveys an established, classic brand identity that never goes out of style.
