Jennifer Posner, LCSW-C, built Joining with Empathy on a foundation she earned the hard way. Before opening her own practice, she worked as a foster care social worker and a school-based therapist for children and teens, and she spent time in a group practice environment that fell short of the ethical, supportive culture she believed therapy deserved. That experience clarified exactly what she wanted to build instead, a relational, trauma-informed, evidence-based practice in Baltimore where clients and clinicians are both treated with the same care.
By the time she came to DesignGood, Jennifer had a growing caseload of teens and adults working through anxiety, burnout, and disconnection, along with LGBTQIA+ clients, parents, and helping professionals who rarely get support themselves. But her website was still speaking in generalities, and it gave no sense of the warmth, steadiness, or depth of training behind her care. It also said nothing about where she was headed, a group practice built around clinicians who share her same relational, empathy-centered approach.
We started with Joining with Empathy's brand language and positioning, mapping how Jennifer actually talks about trauma-informed, relational care, then built the identity and website around that language instead of a generic therapy template. Every page now speaks to the person arriving overwhelmed and unsure where to start, and to the clinician Jennifer hopes to bring onto her team next.
Jennifer now has a brand and website that reflect the practice she has built and the one she is still building. A client can land on the site and feel, within seconds, the same steadiness and warmth she brings into the therapy room, and Jennifer has language for her work that finally matches the depth of the calling behind it.
